A resurfaced clip of Bill Cosby openly flirting with Sofia Vergara on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2003 is gaining attention again following his aggravated assault conviction.
In the clip, Cosby repeatedly comments on Vergara’s looks, even telling her, “Men look at you and they think only of sin.”
At the time, the then 30-year-old Vergara was making her American television debut to promote Chasing Papi, six years before becoming famous for her Emmy-winning role in Modern Family.
The clip shows Vergara smiling as Cosby continues to remark on her appearance and outfit.
“Now, what you have on tonight is wonderful. This is wonderful,” he says. “And when you walked out, many people became attentive.”
He then leans in and tells her, “You make me feel young again. You make me feel very excited.”
Vergara responds with a polite smile before joking, “But don’t die, please,” prompting laughter between them.
At another moment, Cosby rolls his R’s toward Vergara, who playfully replies, “This is too sexy, I’m leaving.”

The interview is viewed differently now as The Cosby Show star served three years of a three-to-ten-year sentence given in 2015 for drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. His conviction was overturned in Pennsylvania, leading to his early release in 2021.
Since his fall from grace, Bill Cosby—once known as “America’s Dad” for The Cosby Show—has faced multiple sexual assault allegations dating back to the 1960s.
More than 50 women have accused Cosby of drugging and assaulting them.
In 2018, he was convicted of aggravated sexual assault against Andrea Constand and sentenced to prison.
In June 2021, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction due to procedural violations, resulting in his release.
Despite this, Cosby remains entangled in legal battles.
In 2022, he was found liable in a civil case and ordered to pay $500,000 in damages.
In 2023, nine women in Nevada filed new sexual assault lawsuits against him.
In 2024, reports surfaced that the 87-year-old comedian is working on a memoir to “set the record straight.”
Recently, a Las Vegas judge allowed 10 women to proceed with a sexual assault lawsuit against Cosby after a law lifting the statute of limitations for civil claims in sexual violence cases was enacted.
Though no longer in prison, allegations and legal actions against him continue.
