Cartwright, 35, addressed her relationship with Sensley, 42, a former doorman at TomTom, explaining that she never intended to pursue one of Taylor’s friends.
Speaking to Bravo’s executive producer Alex Baskin on the podcast, she said, “We did not have a ‘no dating in the friend group’ policy.
We never spoke about that because why would we? First off, I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend; it wasn’t anything that I planned.”
Cartwright added that the connection with Sensley evolved naturally, especially after feeling neglected in her relationship with Taylor.
“I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends,” she clarified. “That’s not how it happened.”
Cartwright’s decision to seek comfort in Sensley was influenced by her perception of him as someone familiar and appealing, describing him as “somebody that [she] felt [she] knew” and “always thought he was so hot.”

During her candid remarks, Cartwright admitted that lingering resentment toward Taylor played a role in her decision to pursue a relationship with Sensley.
She revealed that after years of feeling hurt by Taylor’s actions, she was no longer concerned with sparing his feelings.
“I was just so mad at Jax, I didn’t care if I hurt his feelings like that,” she said.
“Why should I care? He never cared about how he hurt my feelings for years; he put me down, he did so much to me that I’m sorry you’re so upset about who it is, but at the same time, you didn’t give me attention, affection or anything for years.”
Cartwright, who shares a 3-year-old son, Cruz, with Taylor, reminded listeners that Taylor’s infidelity played a significant role in the breakdown of their relationship.
“He hooked up with my friend, let’s all remember that,” she said, referencing Taylor’s past affair with Faith Stowers, a scandal that shook the couple’s relationship and the reality TV community.

The Kentucky native went on to reflect on the challenges of trust and relationships in their shared world, saying, “In our world, it’s so crazy, like how do you trust people?”
Cartwright added that this was the first time she’d experienced single life since moving to Los Angeles to be with Taylor in 2015.
“Another weird thing about my life is that my whole LA story, it has been with Jax and on camera, pretty much, so this is also a new thing for me,” she shared, hinting at the difficulties of navigating a new chapter of her life while under public scrutiny.
The relationship between Cartwright and Sensley, described by sources as “casual.”
According to insiders, Taylor, 45, was deeply upset upon discovering the fling, with one source describing his reaction as “going berserk.”
This reaction reportedly contributed to Taylor’s recent decision to seek mental health treatment.
The former model entered an inpatient mental health facility in late July, completing a 30-day program.
Taylor’s time in rehab led to diagnoses of bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and narcissistic personality disorder, which he has since been open about addressing.
However, despite the treatment, Cartwright claimed on the podcast that she feels Taylor has “not changed at all” following his rehab stay, suggesting that his personal growth may not have aligned with her expectations.

Following Taylor’s release from the mental health facility, Cartwright filed for divorce after five years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
She listed their date of separation as January 24, 2024, marking the official end of a relationship that had spanned nearly a decade and weathered numerous public scandals and reconciliations.
In her divorce filing, Cartwright requested that the court waive any spousal support for both herself and Taylor.
She is also seeking legal and physical custody of Cruz, their son, further signifying her desire to prioritize her own stability and Cruz’s well-being in this new chapter.
Reflecting on her own experience, Cartwright emphasized that her relationship with Taylor had taken a toll on her, particularly in terms of emotional neglect.
She pointed out that Taylor’s treatment of her had led to a sense of empowerment in moving on, explaining, “This guy [Sensley] is really hot and I was taking care of myself, and Jax has no legs to stand on.”
The pair’s tumultuous relationship, which became a central storyline on Bravo’s reality shows, has captivated fans since Cartwright and Taylor met in 2015.
Their relationship’s highs and lows, including Taylor’s affair with Stowers and the birth of their son, were chronicled on shows like “Vanderpump Rules” and its spin-off, keeping the public invested in their journey.
Cartwright’s comments on the podcast reflect her resolve to move forward and embrace independence after years of being associated with Taylor.
She expressed her excitement and apprehension about navigating life outside of their relationship and hinted at the new opportunities her single status may bring.
