LOS ANGELES — Beyoncé is marking the 20th anniversary of her second solo album, B’Day, with an expanded 27-track deluxe edition featuring B-sides, Spanish-language recordings and additional material from the album’s era.

The anniversary edition is scheduled for release on Sept. 4, exactly 20 years after the original album’s 2006 release. Beyoncé’s official store has listed several physical editions, including a four-LP deluxe set pressed on 180-gram “Bayou Blue” vinyl.

The expanded version includes songs from the original record, along with tracks such as “Morning Dew (Donk),” “My First Time,” “Lost Yo Mind,” “Creole,” and “Back Up.”

The deluxe edition also brings together several Spanish-language recordings connected to the album, including “Irreemplazable,” “Oye” and “Bello Embustero,” as well as an extended version of “Get Me Bodied.”

The four-LP package will include a 60-page commemorative booklet and two double-sided art prints. Beyoncé’s store lists the set at $149.98 and says shipments will begin in September.

Less expensive anniversary editions are also being offered.

A standard vinyl edition is priced at $44.98, while a limited-edition CD costs $14.98. The CD includes a 16-page booklet featuring previously unseen images and is scheduled to begin shipping Sept. 4.

The anniversary campaign follows the July release of “Morning Dew (Donk),” which arrived as Beyoncé began a countdown toward both her birthday and the 20th anniversary of B’Day. The song was written by Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon, according to Sony Music.

Originally released on Sept. 4, 2006, B’Day was Beyoncé’s second solo studio album following Dangerously in Love.

The record produced several of the most recognizable songs from the early part of her solo career, including “Déjà Vu,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Irreplaceable,” “Get Me Bodied,” and “Green Light.”

B’Day also won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2007. “Ring the Alarm” and “Déjà Vu” received additional Grammy nominations from the album cycle.

The reissue comes as Beyoncé continues to revisit material from different phases of her career while maintaining a focus on large-scale album projects and touring.

Her most recent studio era centered on Cowboy Carter, which expanded her work into country and Americana influences and followed 2022’s Renaissance.

The B’Day anniversary release, however, returns to an album made when Beyoncé was still in the first years of her solo career after Destiny’s Child.

The original project was recorded on a compressed schedule and combined R&B, pop, and funk influences with more aggressive live instrumentation than much of her debut album.

“Irreplaceable” became one of the album’s biggest commercial successes, while the Shakira collaboration “Beautiful Liar” was later incorporated into expanded versions of the project.

The new 27-song configuration collects material that had previously appeared across different editions, singles and releases associated with the album.

Beyoncé’s official store says the deluxe vinyl will be limited to four copies per customer and, through the U.S. store, will ship only to the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The release is scheduled to begin shipping in September as the album reaches its 20th anniversary.
